Well the fog could’ve fucked this up but in the end my flight outta Heathrow was only 2 hours late.

So a hometown gig!!! Well OK old hometown but back in the old stomping ground. Met up with the Kenwood Kettle and we made our way up there. Missed the travesty that is Trivium fully this time.

Now I’ll be honest I’m not a big fan of Dublin crowds at these big shows e.g. being shouted for wearing a Slayer shirt at Slane, Maiden being Booed during The Trooper or shouting for “Whiskey” at Wanktellica. So I’m facing down the barrel of a loaded gun of a Maiden show of non-classics with these cnuts. Now I don’t know what happened, there is a rumour that there was tons of foreigners coming along and maybe that made up for it, but the crowd were great. People were leaving during the show but vocally the crowd were on Maiden’s side. Then Bruce turns around and says, not insinuates, “If you don’t like us playing the new album, fuck off” and the crowd cheers.
I was so proud of the Irish, tonight was amazing. This was one of the best shows of the tour and I was at home. I dragged my arse back to Lusk afterwards and jumped on a plane the nest morning at some awful time of the morning…. with a gigantic head splitting smile, despite the fog.
