From a Gig Review post:

Support:
WHO GIVES A RAT’S ARSE IT”S FUCKING SPEEDHORN, Jesus people!!!!

OK I have a little bit of an obsession for the six headed beast that is RSH. I’ve been a massive fan since I saw them late 2000 and this gig made it 10 times. I’ve hit double digits with one band and I think it was always destined to be RSH, only Foos(9) and Maiden(9 by the end of the year) come close.

Anyway so this was a short journey south of London to Surrey which is on the way to Gatwick. A depressing little town but tickets for the gig were £10, transport was £7.70 return and it is a good venue. I didn’t see any of the support bands except Oceansize as I was at the gig with Ian(who lives out that way) and Gurdy(Frogninja) who are both off the RSH board and both cool people. Ian wanted to check out Oceansize so we did, they sucked, we went outside.

RSH appeared onstage with a grand total of about 30/40 people in the audience(it was pretty packed for everyone else, bloody kids). I am also taking Ian’s word for that as Gurdy and I were up front on the barrier me fanboying it up big style, screaming along and giving it socks, it was so good to see them again. This show was amazing sound was pretty poor to be honest but they soldiered on a played a pretty short set (dropping a song according to the set list I grabbed) and they were on top form playing as well as any time I’ve seen them.

The place emptied pretty quickly once they got off stage and there was no sign of an encore (or even the band clearing up afterwards) so I hopped (i.e. stepped over) the tiny barrier keeping us almost ten feet awat from the band and grabbed a set list for myself and Gurdy, which also got me kicked out but fuck that I want my setlist.

So it was graet and refreshing to see them again it’s been over a year since I last saw them and rumours of a split were rife. After the horror of Labrat and Stampin’ Ground announcing splits it would have been too much but thankfully they’ve committed to more shows and are writing a new album to be recorded early next year.

Their Xmas Barfly shows around the country sadly clash with Maiden dates I have planned so I won’t make it 1 times this side of 2007 but hopefully they will restart their marathon touring they used to do back in the day so there will plenty of chances to see them again.

I’ll also be back in Redhill(actually I was back the next day but more on that in the next review), it was a nice setup within easy travelling distance of London and they have Sikth before Xmas and Orange Goblin/Charger after Xmas so Woo Hoo.

Last word on this gig: I want to see RSH again!!!!
