Pitchshifter
Support:
Skindred
This Is Menace
Murder1

Another case of my buying a ticket for the main act and the support being more interesting. I love Pitchshifter but I would have paid to just see Murder1. In the end it was not only they who were great.
Opening with Murder1 (Paul Catten and Jammer of Medulla Nocte and John Loughlin of Raging Speedhorn) they were on fire even if the crowd weren’t too receptive all new stuff with a reworking of OnScreen Rapist.
Skindred were then on. I’ve seen Dubwar before (at the Trinity Ball of all things) and I’ve had their album for ages but live is a different kettle of fish they literally hit the ground running and had the whole venue in the palm of their hands for the 25min set. I will not hesitate to see this lot again and would pay to see them even if they were just support.
This Is Menace is two guys from Pitchshifter and friends on vocals, I wasn’t sure how this would work but thank god for it being in London, we got Colin Doran(from Hundred Reasons), Paul Catten, some guy from Send More Paramedics (apparently), Jeff Walker from Carcass, Karl MIddleton from Earthtone9, Justin Hill from Sikth and Martin Ives of Charger/ex-Labrat. They were all great, would have liked to see Mikee from Sikth do his tune(he was around he did Virus with PSI later).
Pitchshifter were good, no denying that but JS sounds more mid-atlantic then I remember and they just weren’t giving it the 100% that say Skindred did. I will go to the next PSI reunion shows, hell they gave away free CDs at this one to everyone who came, and they were brilliant. The CD is six tracks, three new ones I think with a remix of each, some places would charge 14quid for that alone.

I also meant Frog Ninja(real name Gurdy) and Liquid Edge from the RSH forum, really cool guys and I dragged Rich along as well. A great nights entertainment!
