From a Gig Review post:
Support:
Lauren Harris
Trivium

OK so in Maiden terms I’m back in the UK. Over two weeks ago I flew with Bruce to Sweden and saw this tour for the first time (out of 6) and it was great(even after the burglary) and once again I was travelling out of London. This time it was to the second capital, Birmingham, home of Maiden’s third vocalist Blaze Balyey(who was in attendance apparently).

I just got in and sorted (after some crap with the guy on the door over my headphones, Sehnheisers, and my MP3 player) as Trivium were hitting their 2nd last song(thank Christ). I’d missed Lauren Harris, maybe I’ll catch her at another show. So here we go A Matter Of Life And Death from start to finish again how did it go down? To be honest amazingly good, UK(and Ireland) crowds can be resistant to change but besides down the back (where I was hanging out) the crowd were great. The album was well received but the place exploded when Fear Of The Dark started. A little annoying as I am relatively hardcore when it comes to Maiden and really enjoy the new album also the choice of classics is, in my opinion, pretty poor. I’d a preferred anything, something, off Powerslave.

The gig was great, no regrets with travelling and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Travel back worked out perfectly and actually got the same time train as the Virgin one I got on that night in Milton Keynes 😕

So out of completeness I’ll include the setlist but if you read all of these Maiden reviews you’ll start to recognise a pattern 😉
