From a Gig Review post:
Support:
Smoosh

Back to the Astoria, like the Underworld in Camden at the start of the year I practically live here now. Sarah and I got here a little late and missed Smoosh and the start of the gig which will be funnier when you see the review for the next night.

Anyway this is a sold out show, rammed full and blisteringly hot. We ended up on the balcony but sound was great and we had a decent view. E is always awkward, some songs he played straight with long feedback sections and the rest were fucked up great versions of well known songs. He also had a guy onstage in a security T-Shirt keeping people away from him saying, strange things between songs, playing instruments like marcacas or bells and generally messing about on the stage. It was great fun and went on for just over hour and a half with the two strange little girls joining them onstage for the two encore songs, they just danced around and had a laugh. I was lost until Sarah remembered an articlke she had read about a two piece of an 11 year old and a 14 year old called … you guessed it Smoosh. It was the support act so we decided to check them out when we came back for the next gig on the 27th but more on that with that review.

Later days,
Halo
