Back in the Garage, last time was for Bezerker et al. Half decent venue sound is good, a bit loud for no real apparent reason but anyway…
This was Sarah’s first night in London(and obviously her first show). We missed Tits Of Death but Frog Ninja assures me I missed nothing. GU Medicine and B-Movie Heroes are on Undergroove a favourite label of mine but they weren’t the typical stuff Undergrooove started with but still quite good would watch them again to check them out more.
Viking Skull are just like Ronseal, they do exactly what it says in the tin, metal to drink to. Their first EP and single are great Sabbath enspired riffs with some great singalong moments, the album not so great but still good. Live they were quite good not on top form as they are meant to be a savage band live and with members of Raging Speedhorn and their roadies in them it’s easy to believe. Tonight wasn’t the greatest but they showed enough class to give them the benefit of the doubt and I will go see them again. The rumour is they are touring with The Abominable Iron Sloth(members of Will Haven) later in the year so I’ll check that out.
