…I’ll see you there.

Well I finished my NIN run in one piece that last night was Saturday in the end, too wrecked to try and get a scalped ticket cheap on Sunday. Sam was over for Saturday so we had a good laugh, got a few pints into us and finished up in Garlic & Shots with some bloodshots so it was all good.

This is just balls:

The airline BMI is to scrap a phantom service after it emerged that the company is flying an empty passenger jet between Cardiff and Heathrow in llorder to retain valuable slots at the London airport.

They didn’t even sell tickets, I could ALMOST understand them running a flight which was almost always empty but not even trying to get some passengers on it seems strange. Maybe they didn’t have any staff other than the two pilots so adding cabin crew wouldn’t be finacially viable.

Oh I’m a little excited Sarah and are planning a trip to see Tori Amos in Slovenia in June when I stumbled upon this little nugget. QOTSA in London again, with The White Stripes(Sarah’s a fan, I’m not)? We’ll be there, although this will be the 4th time I’ll have seen them(QOTSA) and only once has it been a headline show, they haven’t done a European headline tour since 2002 AFAIK.

Hyde Park Calling is also intriguing me this year. I couldn’t care less about Aerosmith to be honest but this sounds interesting:

A great British pioneer of music looks set to headline Saturday, joined by classic artists, both established and new, in support.

It could end up being a crock of shit though but some one a little heavier like Heaven & Hell would be nice but that ever going to happen.

I saw this quote and it just works:

It is as useless to argue with those who have renounced the use of reason as to administer medication to the dead.

It’s a Tom Paine quote I think, but I’ve seen some attribute it to Thomas Jefferson but I’m not sure so I’ll mention them both here. Actually after a quick search of the QMUL library they have some of Tom Paine’s stuff, Age Of Reason, Rights Of Man and Political Writings which I’ll grab after work tomorrow maybe.

So this story lead me to Artists Against 419 which led me to Muguito
. It is basically a Java Application that you run from your browser that eats the bandwidth of various scammers so shutting down their website. It’s kinda cool and I’ll be running it whenever I can.

Later days,
Halo.

  1. Lol! DDOS? Flash Mob?

Only 23 users on at the moment… I doubt you’ll make much of a difference. The easiest way to defeat these guys is to just ignore them.

  2. Nah it’s not DDOS, they make a point of that.

Trust me ignoring it isn’t the answer, you keep forgetting how many morons are out there online, people don’t even know that you can hover over a link and see where it leads on the bottom left AND these are people who you’d usually say have two brain cells.
