Who will guard the guards

Well paint me purple and call me Jane, I’ve been busy for the last while. I’ve been doing that volunteering (which is great craic), working and been to a few gigs (reviews below this post). This week doesn’t let up between Masque of the Red Death, the gym and gigs I’ve only tonight to myself and that’s only cause Ian and Gurdy wimped out of the Speedhorn gig in Brighton and didn’t want to head down there on my own (it’s cold and is an hour each way on the train). Instead I’ve just relaxed on the coach after cooking pizza for dinner (not frozen just a pre-made base, sauce and various fresh toppings, it was great).

On the cooking front everything is going well, have a good few curry recipes, Hungarian goulash, chicken dishes and various others in my repertoire now so rarely cooking with sauces in jars or frozen pizza and it’s great. I do need to find a better way to do rice though, I like it sticky but not getting that out ofĂ‚ a saucepan. Apparently Waitrose had a thing for cooking rice that went in the microwave but last time Sarah and I looked they didn’t have it, but I do spy a few things on eBay that may do it so will look into it more.

I have some bad news though this happened to my camera at Speedhorn last week but it has an upside. I was able to get a replacement camera secondhand off eBay for a reasonable price so know I have a spare battery which will be handy. This though even has a downside, the zoom function button is a little "sticky" and it is used for some other functions so is useful. All "damage" was described as only cosmetic, thankfully I have not left feedback yet so will email the seller tomorrow about this. Other than that it is fine and has already been used to take some photos of Rich’s car so he can eBay it.

Anyway I’m off other I’m going to see Imperial Leisure in Friday night which should be good won’t get any drinks in (other than the one free one I get for volunteering each night) but Sunday is free so you never know.

Note: the last ten "real" (as opposed to gig review posts) have been titled after the tracks on the new Speedhorn album, as I did with the last one.

Later days,
Halo.

  1. Fixed, taught Spam Karma that they were spam. Hope that works but I think Pingbacks are a problem for spam filters. I thought I was popular for a minute there.
