Guess what I just saw an ad for? The Mighty Boosh season 3, Al got me into this over Xmas last year. It’s quite frankly one of the funniest shows on TV and proof that the Brits (and BBC in particular) write the best comedy. It is definitely in the same vein as Blackadder, Monty Python and Red Dwarf.
I heard a great quote recently from Voltaire (the French enlightenment genius). He was on his deathbed and asked by a priest to renounce the devil replied:

Now that’s brilliant.
There is a group meeting tomorrow, where get to meet the new people in the group and everyone explains what they do/have done etc. Last year we got lunch but now that catering now charge £40 on top of any food ordered looks like we’ll have to get our own tomorrow. We’ve a few new post docs and post grads so it should be interesting. One of the new post docs is from Bristol and knows my friend Maria actually.
Weekend looks busy, meeting up with Owen who’s just moved back from CERN on Friday, Astrid and Brian are over Saturday, Heaven & Hell Saturday night and then lunch with Giuseppe, Adrian and Katherine Sunday, think my alcohol intake is about to shoot up :-). I actually seem to have missed Death At A Funeral as it has left my local cinema, am semi-tempted to see Elizabeth: The Golden Age and Beowulf is out soon, which should be great.
Next week looks busy too, Masque of the Red Death is back on so I’m volunteering for that a few days, the 3 Inches of Blood are back and then an LHC promotion meeting on Friday. Looks like I won’t get that SVN work done anytime soon :-).
