Well as someone pointed out by mail I aint done anything on here in ages, pretty much two weeks!!! What have I been up to that is so damn important? Nothing really but here’s a quick run down.
Been on the Science Bus again, same school twice in a row up in Maynooth, another all girls school so they were grand sessions. After the second one I helped out with the Centre for Talented Youth in Ireland (CTYI) as a teaching assistant for 6-7 year olds in an archaeology class, that started off looking like I was going to go mad but it was grand in the end. You know it helps being almost twice their height and male :-).
There’s been three committee meetings for the Alchemist Cafe(including tonight :oops:) and I’ve only been to one, sorry if one of the others have are reading this. I know they are flying away though. I’ve done a bit of work for them, website has been updated for the new cafe and the poster designed. Check them out at the above link.
I’ve also been travelling a weekend(27th to29th) in Glasgae, during which I saw Raging Speedhorn and Johnny Truant while hanging out with Sarah. Then home from that to see Tori Amos here in Dublin on the 30th. Up early for my next bit of travelling to Lahndan Tahn (London) for that job interview, it went well in my opinion just waiting to hear from them. While there I stayed in Brixton with my friends Alex and Sean and we had fun. That Tuesday I also hung out with Sarah’s two cousins Johanna and Lucy, both French. It was fun cause Johanna can be quite indecisive so it was fun making here choose where to go etc. Later in the day we headed for Covent Garden to find the Porterhouse there, ha good luck at that. The search took over half an hour cause we hadn’t a bean where to even start but we found it just as we gave up :lol:. I didn’t fly home till Thursday morning though cause I was stretching the trip to see Raging Speedhorn and Johnny Truant again. Due to this I had a day free in London with no guide (Sean and Alex had work). So what did I do? Yeah spent 3 hours in the Science Museum :-P. It was good fun however all the interactive stuff is designed for two types of people 1) the under 5ft and 2) ones that haven’t got mental back pain after a metal gig at the weekend :oops:. Ah well it was fun and fucking MASSIVE. After that headed to Harrods to pick up some Krispy Kremes for Al and returned to Brixton. Hung with Alex et al for a while then they pointed me towards the train instead of the Tube to get to Camden for the gig. Great idea guys the train was cancelled or some shit so I ended up going in the opposite direction and getting off at Elephant & Castle and then using the tube to get to Camden :evil:. There was also a stop off in Oxford Circus to pick up the Speedhorn album for the band as they aint got a copy yet but got to the venue just after doors. JT and RSH were great again, support FlyLeaf sucked like only bad NuMetal from Texas can suck. Met up with Ian from the RSH board and met Chris a friend of his they were cool. Legged after the gig to get the Tube back to Brixton, I was to be up early for a flight again.
Journey home was pretty uneventful, had to be in work that afternoon so no stopping once I got back to that mythical country of Lusk.
Friday met up with my friend Aoife and her now fianc?¬¨¬©e Leo (congrats) and we went out to the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Kilmainham, it had some cool stuff and some shit stuff but worth the zero we paid in :-D. We tried to go to Dublinia but got disorientated driving in town so went to the National Gallery instead, which was also worth it for the free entrance(go see William Orpen’s sketches, they’re free and more interesting looking than his paintings)! Went back to Sarah’s for dinner with Aoife and Leo and then broke up with her …
Yeah I was a mean cunt but thought I was doing the right thing, after about 24hours I was patently very wrong so after some grovelling and flower buying I am back with her. Also it would have made Weezer a bit awkward which in the end was just boring and uninspiring, good thing the have some songs with hooks :?.
So I’m still trying to recover from all the travelling, the work(I was still fitting in HMV around all this) and being a git. Think I’ve almost recharged, I better got Revenge Of The Sith later and work for at least the next four days.
Oh yeah I forgot mention some cunts a friend of mine knows Dave(male though ya wouldn’t think it) & Charlie(Female trust me I aint fucking 100% on that). They are both spineless, worthless, untrustworthy scum who if you should meet are not to be even pissed on if they are on fire. They tried to dick my girlfriend out of ?Äö?Ñ????°¬¨¬Æ104 and they know I’ll kill them, they were outside HMV the other day and they knew to keep their distance.
