Well yesterday I booked the annual trip to the Edinburgh fringe festival, going on the 7th, staying in Glasgow(trust me it works cheaper) and going to a kids science show thing (WHAT!?! I do science communication), a production of Terry Pratchett’s Maskerade and Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple starring Bill Bailey and Alan Davies. So things are shaping up good and we’re thinking of heading on to Germany the for two weeks of interrailing :-).
Then the bad thing happened :-(. The Presidents Of The United States of America are playing Belfast on the 7th and Dublin the 8th of August, I’m fucking gutted. I’ve waited 11 years to see them and I’m in fricking Scotland GRrr :x. Anyway I’ve been trying to solve the problem and I may just have. Our trip after the festival is still completely unbooked so … (Note: I have not said this to Sarah yet :0) I’m thinking of getting a flight down to Birmingham to see them on the 10th of August there and then a train to Sheffield to see them on the 11th in said city. It’s an extra ¬¨¬®¬¨¬£55Stg in transport in total, just need to source tickets for the shows and accomodation. Tickets are becoming a problem though I can’t get them online if anyone can help please leave a comment or email me at halo@mackers.com :cry:. This fucking sucks if I’d waited two days to book my festival or read the Fringe’s schedule properly I would have seen they’re playing that later on (hell I may go to that instead) :(. Arghhh I need to talk to Sarah, there are tix available for the Edinburgh dates and maybe I can go to the Aberdeen date too.
