Girls Against Boys

I’ve been meaning to post for ages just kept getting waylaid.

Well I’m over here safe and sound in London, safe that from the battle zone that is Dublin. I didn’t actually realise how bad it was till monday when I saw this.
I then came across this and even this.
That is nuts, my first thought was that it looked more like Beirut than Dublin then it struck me it actually looks more like Belfast. Our northern neighbours have to deal with this shit constantly. Will we learn anything from this? Unlikely, hell the march went ahead up on Kildare St, no one won on Saturday, we all lost.

But this, this and this is the best ever. 😉

In other not so mental news Dave has implemented a last.fm plugin for wordpress showing a “Most Recently Played” list. Might try it out but first have to actually get using a media player regularly.

Last week was actually busy Chelsea Vs Barcelona in the Hobgoblin, great fun, Play in Battersea Arts Council, wicked and JT on Friday, well see the last post.

Well if you look at Al’s blog (don’t) you’ll know him and my girlfriend were at Podge & Rodge on Monday, all I say is bastards.

While Dublin was burning Alex and I went to the Gilbert & George exhibition “SonOfAGod” in The White Cube. It was its last day so guess who was there! Gilbert & George, that was cool. Afterwards we needed to use the facilities so we stopped for a half in a real English pub “The Nelson’s Retreat” where we got given a scratchcard and won a rugby DVD, nice. But this was only the start of our adventure. On the way to the exhibition we saw a newspaper article telling us about famous graves around London including Karl Marx, so three guesses where we headed! Yep Highgate cemetary to see Marx’s grave :-D. Only problem? Yeah it’s closed at the weekend :-?! Ah well it was an expedition at least.

Sunday was a touch more sedate after being threatened with 3 and a half hours of American Idol (Ugh :x) so I fled to see Aeon Flux. It was OK I suppose if you didn’t think about it! A quiet since but got pancakes last night :-).

Sarah’s over this weekend so off to Kew Gardens at least Sat arvo not sure about that evening night, options seem to be a music/comedy gig or a Jazz night!

Tool have been confirmed as headlining Download but also announced(then de-announced) a London gig on the 13th of June I will be at that. Maiden rumours for December gigs are mental 2 in London, one in Dublin, another Fan Club gig in London and 2 Bruce Air gigs (Bruce flys you to and from the gig). If one of those is the Dublin gig I will be on that plane but either way I will try to get to 4 gigs if there are 3 London and a Dublin!

Link Of The Day:
HelpDesk A sister comic to Kernel Panic, well good.

Later Days,
Halo.

  3. You think those pictures are bad, I was in Swansea that weekend & that place looks worse without the old riots. Terminally stuck in 1983, like Bray, Arklow & Dun Laoghaire combined and then squared, with more chip butty litter & even worse something else i couldn’t think up’s!
