Well a bit has happened since I last posted. Been to a wedding, Sarah moved to London, we’ve seen Viking Skull and I’ve seen Tool. I still aint gotten rid of my extra Foos ticket suppose I’ll be able to flog it outside, for face value only.
It has been unbearably hot here, as I gather it has been at home in Eire. I aint been sleeping great, I wasn’t built for this type of heat 😕
The Alchemist Cafe is getting more press Belinda’s was interviewed on NewsTalk today(Wed 14th) at 11:30am. Al is working on getting me a recording. We also have three cool topics lined up; Cannabis, profile of an inventor/con man and one on synthesia(look it up) which we’re just finalising. I need to do a poster for the last two still :-?.
In related news I set up a Google calendar for the cafe and have made it public could you pretty people who use a calendar based on the iCal format see if this adds Alchemist Cafe events to your program? If it does post a comment with which ones etc.. thanks.
Actually this will probably be my last regular post for a while as the next 4 will probably be gig reviews (Viking Skull, Tool, Foo Fighters Acoustic and Foo Fighters Hyde Park). I’m off to Foos now and again on Saturday. Eels then on the 23rd and the 27th manic.
A Sikth tour has been announced for October so I’m looking at trying to get to Wolverhampton, Milton Keynes and London. The non-London dates shouldn’t be too much hassle as they are Fridays and if I book train early enough they should be cheap and should be able to get back to London after the gig. The Abominable Iron Sloth(feat members of Will Haven) also have a tour planned and I may make London and Birmingham if it aint cancelled (which it appears to be)
Also debating wether to go see Slayer in The Brixton Academy on the Unholy Alliance tour (coming to the Point on November 5th) I’ve seen them three times already and the support is not as good as last time (they had Mastodon in the Ambassador). I probably will but I’m in no rush to but tickets yet, they are playing two dates.
The new Dublin Metro plans sounds kinda cool but it’ll never be as good as it seems 😕
