… We’ll get together then….

Well long time no real post, a few gig reviews which you can see just below this one but not much else. I have been busy running GridPP16, our collaborations most recent get together. It went really well and I eventually met my boss who lives in Australia and kept the entire 5 days running pretty smoothly despite the drilling and other out-of-my-hands issues. I had to give a talk at this one, it was only 15mins long so it was grand and there wasn’t many (read none) questions as I assume they were all asleep. I had to take one night off to see the Eels which I reviewed below but other than that it was a full time thing. There is a gallery here, you won’t see me in any cause I was taking the photos(well all but one try and find me).

Been watching The Doctor a lot recently and the last episode was brilliant pitting his two biggest enemies against each other and with him in the middle, saweet. To be continued next week 😀

I used to really love Thunderbirds when I was really young. I even almost considered thinking about maybe seeing the Thunderbirds film they released a few years ago but the I saw it had little or nothing to do with the puppets. Wait I digress anyway I never got into Stingray but you have to agree this is the best intro sequence for a TV show EVER:
Edit: Removed YouTube video as it was taken down, but I assure you track it down it is the greatest intro ever
Sorry about posting a YouTube video, they are usually for retards, but this was too good.

Wish I’d found this place: Scarlet Mist before now. It is a marketplace for spare tickets where only face value is allowed, it may come in handy in the future you never know.

So England are out of the World Cup, not a massive football fan but like to watch a good game and England never provided that in 5 matches so glad they’re gone now we may see a good game or two (even if there only 3 left including the 3rd place play-off after Italy beat Germany).

Some intersting news bits from The Guardian:
Pharming
and
A guy building his own cathedral for 45 years.

Check it out the new artwork for Miaden’s new album Matter Of Life And Death, nice.

Alice In Chains was last night, was great craic and met Frog Ninja at it too, full review coming.

Link of the day:
Uxfest A brilliant festival held this year in Islington. Sarah and I are going just need to get tickets for it at some stage they are a whole £10!!!
