If you didn’t know The Abominable Iron Sloth were an amazing one man show which went on hiatus recently much to my and everyone with musical taste’s disappointment. However Justin(for that is his name) has sent round a myspace bulletin :
The Abominable Iron Sloth needs your help. I want to record a second album with new songs I’ve written, and it will be titled “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Heaviness.” I don’t have the money to fund it myself, and I don’t want to get involved with any more labels, so I have this idea. I’m asking for people to preorder the album now, so I can get the capital to record and make it a reality. I can record a full length album, pay for the artwork, and make 1000 copies for between $3000 and $4000. Everyone who donates at least $20 (or $25 for people with addresses outside the US) will get one of the first copies mailed to them when I have it finished in 2007. If you help make this cd possible, I will put your name in the cd booklet, thanking you for your service to humanity. If you want me to use your picture and have it drawn into the comic book as a human who is horrifically killed by the iron sloth, donate a bit more. I will only have to presell 150-200 cd’s to make this happen, so please, don’t live the rest of your life wondering just what if? If I don’t sell quite that many, I will still record the album, but it will take me a few more months to raise the money through working means.
