Well as Al said it was good to see that the game yesterday not only went without incident but that the English were cheered on to the pitch and God Save The Queen was finished by a roar. Rugby + Croke Park + GSTQ(NOT the first time) = just a game of rugby and shows that we have moved on from who we were even 12 months ago.
Something else that made me smile and give respect was a show on Kerrang called “Signed By Kerrang”. No Kerrang do not have a record label it was music videos signed for the deaf!! OK it was on at 1 in the morning (maybe they show it earlier I’ve only had Sky 18hrs or so) and the videos I saw were RHCP but was still kinda cool.
One of Sarah’s favourite channels on Sky is Rockworld.tv which is as underground as these music channels get. I switched it on last night to be greeted by an ad for RockSound TV(a show on the station hosted by the magazine Rocksound) but even better the presenter was The Dadler (Darren Sadler, Rocksound’s Deputy Editor) who also runs/owns Undergroove. He’s a mate of Ken’s who I have met a few times (Slayer in Dublin and various Undergroove shows here in the UK). He’s sound and the label he runs is easily my favourite.
Matt’s out with his kids so I’m home alone again and at the mo. I’m in my front room watching The Codex a quiz show with Tony Robinson as the carpenter fits a door with two locks, noisily since 10 this morning so I might be able to leave the house today. Imperial Leisure are playing Dingwalls tonight so I better be :-D.
May even go to cinema if I have time.
