BEinBED

So Sarah and I have been keeping busy with doing stuff and junk. Went to see the Big Bang Exhibition in the Science Museum (old photos though), getting a tour of the world’s oldest tunnel under a river, visited a sound in art exhibition in Spitalfields (and saw lots of other pieces outside the exhibition) and saw more of Anthony Gormley’s Event Horizon installation. Not sure what we’ll get up to this weekend but Eoghain is down on Saturday which will be eventful at least.

Sarah has also found work eventually, again earning a load temping. We’re now half planning a holiday to Budapest in October as I’ll be over for work at the start of the month so may tag on an extra day or two at the start or end with Sarah, it looks like a lovely city.

Work is keeping me busy and I’m pretty sure I’m 90% done sorting out the LHCathome website redesign and the new look can be seen at http://lhcathometest.cern.ch and I like it. Also one of the members has used Planet, an RSS aggregator, to collect the collaborations blogs together. It looks really good so the people in charge wanted me to scrape that page to create links on the front page of the GridPP website to the last three blog posts and to my surprise and, quite frankly, joy I was able to do it in an afternoon/evening with a little tinkering.

We’re moving to Brixton for the week on Sunday as we’re cat and flat sitting for Alex and Shonagh so I might be internet-less *twitch, twitch* in the evenings but my first night there i.e. Sunday I’m off to a gig in The Academy, Iron Maiden :-D. It’s going to be great, it’s their last date of 2007 and I was at their last of 2006 and hopefully there will be a limited edition T-shirt again as it is for the Clive Burr MS fund. I also get to hang out with Rich again who I met in Sweden on Bruce Air.

Was out with Shonagh, Sean, Alex and Emma on Tuesday, was good to see everyone again and the bar was kinda cool even if I was on the Budvar all night and I felt it the next day. I’m thinking about organising a Wii Party some weekend, hell even Peter in work was saying he loves the “Wiki” and he’s at least 65.

Later days,
Halo

  1. Is it you adding Foo’s lyrics to the LHCathome site then? 🙂

  2. Yeah my boss saw that and was curious, I was testing something and that was the first thing that popped into my head, that won’t make the move over to the full service 🙂
