Everything Changes

So Sarah was just over for the weekend and we took it easy. Didn’t do too much, saw The Counterfeiters, Ratatouille in the cinema and went old school punk and saw The Undertones in The Shepherd’s Bush Empire. No pictures due to an incident the results of which can be seen here (replacement on the way soon hopefully, bloody Royal Mail strike). It was great to have her over again and she’s back pretty soon in November, can’t wait.

In other happenings I’ve been to seen Raging Speedhorn (which explains the above link) and Pitchshifter. I will slap some reviews up of the three gigs in total during the week if I get a chance. I’ve also volunteered to help out BAC with the Punch Drunk production of The Masque Of The Red Death. It looks like it’s going to be great craic, both volunteering and also seeing bits of the show from a different angle. I’ll have to get tickets to actually see the show at some stage but it’s sold out for the first 6 weeks at least. May just get them for my return to the UK after Xmas when Sarah is with me.

Before I went to Budapest I got Ghost In The Shell 1 and 2 on DVD along with Akira (and Spaceballs but that’s neither here nor there) and just got around to watching the first Ghost In The Shell, it was pretty cool and very well written and the atmosphere / animation is great. Looking forward to getting a chance to see the 2nd one(maybe tomorrow after the gym). Sarah brought my Gameboy Advance Micro with her too, HMV were selling them off for â?¬30 so I got Al to grab me one. It’s pretty dinky and will look great alongside my other Nintendo "failure" the virtual boy.

Fopp while really dead is now a puppet corpse for HMV so we popped in on Saturday and I got the Foo Fighters live acoustic album for a fiver. Not listened to it yet but I probably will soon, be interesting to hear Marigold live. I got the new Foos a while ago and I aint very impressed yet, The Pretender is a great rock song, but eerything else is a little "light". Not really a problem as I aint seeing them this tour anyway so I have the new QOTSA album as I am seeing them twice, seems great but not had enough time with it.

OK I’m off to read up on Budapest.

Later days,
Halo.
