SAFE!!!

Well survived the conference. Man those guys can fucking drink and I don’t mean the “young” buck techy geeks(and I mean UberGeek). I’m talking the senior management of the team i.e. the people who I was hanging out with for the first two nights. Now I kept up but I’m so glad I was hanging out with the guys more my age last night, my liver thanks me.

I’ve also been given my certificate so I’ve been updating the website (see link below) all I did was add the presentations to the agenda but that is just the start.

I know I still haven’t put up the photos but the software on this laptop I’m on is pretty crap so once I get settled with my desktop PC I will get them up. Swear.

I also can’t get Skype to work on this. The microphone doesn’t pick anything up but I should get it sorted so I can talk with Sarah for free, for a while anyway.

Oh as you may have noticed I’m considering an iMac as a purchase well I’m very close to a full decision. I might be able to buy it cheaper as a university staff member. So if that works I’m getting the new iMac G5 Dual Intel Processor with a GB of RAM and then buy another GB off crucial.com. Have to hold off till I actually have a home for it, a broadband connection for it, enough money for it and finally a version of MS Office that will work on it without intermediate software. You see with Apple using these Intel chips the architecture is very different so software has to be written from the ground up!

Well I’m outta here have Mendeed tomorrow night in the Underworld in Camden, no ticket but it shouldn’t be sold out *fingers crossed*.

  1. Don’t mean to be a nitpicker but if it’s a Dual Intel, it’s not a G5. I don’t think Office built for the Intel Mac is available yet, and won’t be for another while.
